Rockin' the Vote!

With Kelly being such a rowdy little thing, I knew I couldn't vote with her along. So, I had to wake up extra early and go and vote before Jonathan went to work. I pulled Kylie and Kasey out of bed at 6:30 this morning as I had told them they could go with me to see how the voting process works. They hear so much about the election but they literally had no idea how it all works or what it all means. The three of us arrived at our polling place a little before 7am and weren't surprised to see a line of at least 100 people already in front of us. Kasey's first question after we got in line was, "When do we get to see Barack Obama and John McCain?" Of course, she had the people in front of us and behind us laughing. We waited in line and made our way into vote. I let the girls fill in my ballot (the way I wanted of course!) and feed it into the electronic machine. They both got to have an "I Voted" sticker and were quite proud to wear it to school. I won't get all political on you or anything but regardless of who wins today, I think that my sister Lisa put it best in her post from last night. Hope every one finds their way to the polling place today and exercises one of the greatest rights we have in this free country!

Awesome idea to take the girls with to see how everything works - mucho smart (That's Spanish for "good thinking")
