Miss Kylie Kaye celebrated her eighth birthday today. It also happened to be her last day of school which made her day even more fun. Jonathan and I brought in pizza and pop to her school to celebrate her birthday with her class. Her classroom was buzzing with last day of school energy and it was fun to spend time with them all.
For dinner, we let Kylie pick the restaurant that she wanted to go to for dinner. And, like the last four years, she picked Rainforest Cafe. Kelly has a major love/hate relationship with the Rainforest Cafe as she is deathly afraid of the thunderstorms. She likes to go there and see all of the neat stuff but she hates when the thunderstorms start. So, besides her freaking out every 15 minutes, we all had a nice dinner.
Look at this little mac and cheese face.
And, it wouldn't be a birthday at the Rainforest without the $$$milliondollar$$$ dessert complete with a sparkler on top. This is what makes them choose this place year after year.
Last weekend, Kylie had her "kid" birthday party at the local roller rink. All of the kids had so much fun and so did Jonathan and I. We brought our ten year old roller blades along and skated all night long. The kids had pizza, pop, cake, and ice cream.
Kylie and our neighbor buddy Ben.

Jonathan and Kasey Lynn.
We finished the night up with a sleepover for all of the girls. Kylie opened all of her presents up once we got home and loved them all. Then they watched an American Girl movie and ended up getting to bed a little after midnight. We didn't have any problems and everyone slept in until 8:30am.

Sounds like it was a great birthday - Maybe Mongee can go with next year as long as it's not skating - Happy B-Day Keekers!
