Introducing....

Harry Michael was born this morning at 3:13am. I am already so absolutly in love with him.

I woke up at 1:10am with contractions. After calling the doctor and telling her that my contractions were 2 minutes apart and this was baby #4, she told me to get to the hospital right away. My mom met Jonathan and I at the hospital ready to catch all of the action on video tape. As soon as we got into a traige room, I was feeling a slight urge to push already. They checked me and sure enough, we skipped all of the triage and they got me right to a delivery room. I was too late for any pain meds or epidural so I had him 100% natural(not by my choice.) Luckily the doctor arrived shortly and delivered him at 3:13am, only two hours after my first contraction. He came so fast that he has slight bruising on his face which they say will go away within 3-4 days.

He is sleeping peacefully in his bassinet right now. I have yet to see him open his eyes. He has been very quiet, only crying once for about 30 seconds. I will post some more pictures later. For now, I will rest.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I clicked over on your blog just now...about to go to bed...to see if, perhaps, there was any "news." Oh, you did not disappoint! Welcome Harry! He's just gorgeous. What a birth story, wow! Not many women can tell their birth story in one paragraph, uffda!

Can't wait to hear more and see more photos. Rest up! (And yeah for internet access in the hospital!! You ARE at the hospital, right?)

Thanks again for the amazing gift of being present in the room when little Harry arrived - That makes all four of them now and I can't even begin to tell you how meaningful it is for me to be present and see each of my grandchildren being born - You were an absolute CHAMP and Jonathan handled it perfectly too. Hope you got a good night's sleep - I know I did!

I have looked at the blog about 4-5 times this morning to look at my new grandson. Did you know that my youngest grandsons will be 22 next month. What a blessing. Love you.
