potpourri

A small peek into what's going on with us currently...

Yesterday, we dedicated Harry to the Lord at church. Granny and Maurice flew in from Colorado for the weekend. My mom, Bill and my sister and her family came to the service as well.

After church, we dropped Granny, Maurice and Harry off at home and ventured out to the BIG water park by our house. We stayed for almost four hours and had lots of fun. The big family tube slide is a ride well worth the 10 story hike. Kelly even went on it. It was Kelly's first full day without one nap which led to her promptly falling asleep during the car ride home.

We have officially been at our "new" home for two full years. And we aren't even talking about moving!! This is the longest we have stayed in one place since we have been married. We both love our house, location and neighbors and don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, God willing.

Jonathan is buying a small pickup truck this weekend in exchange for his VW Rabbit. And just for the record, that is his fourth car since we have lived in this house. Have you ever heard of those people that hate to buy cars? Yeah, send them Jonathan's way to give him his fix!

Wednesday is Jonathan's 37th birthday. I met him when he was 27 and I was 20. I can't believe that I have only known him 10 years.

On Thursday night, I am going to an open house at the nearby college I will be attending in the fall. I want to talk with a counselor to start to map out my course to RN certification. My goal is to get my RN certification and to start working again (at least part time) once Harry is in kindergarten.

Kasey, Kelly, Harry and I ventured out to our neighborhood park for the first time this year. The weather was a nice change from a couple of days ago and the girls had such a good time. Kasey played with a boy from her class and Kelly ran around like the crazy girl that she is. Harry took a snooze in the sling and I enjoyed the sun on my face.

Lots going on at your house and you continue to amaze me at how easy you make it all look - I'm excited for you to learn about the RN route.
