Kylie's softball season had begun and she is lovin' it. Last year she played co-ed baseball with boys and girls in her grade. This is the first year that she is old enough to join the fast pitch all girls softball league. Kylie's age group consists of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade girls. For some reason, 2nd grade girls (Kylie) view 3rd and 4th grade girls as complete rock stars. Kylie is very much enjoying playing with the
older girls and being able to learn from their experience. The season kicked off with a parade through the center of our little
village area where all of the baseball and softball teams walked together in their uniforms. In all honesty, it wasn't any big parade or to-do but if you asked any one of the kids that participated in it that day, it would have seemed as though they walked in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Kylie didn't know any of the girls on her team that first day but faced the situation with such confidence. Makes a mama proud when her seven year old can face that situation with no tears, no resistance, and no fears.

Between Kylie's softball schedule and Kasey's soccer schedule, our next two months will be packed to the gills. But, it is a good thing. They both really enjoy the sports that they play and it is good for them to stay busy.

Kylie's team is called the Bluebelles hence the navy blue uniforms. Kylie has become fast friends with the girls on her team and is proud to tell Jonathan and I that she has even "made friends with the 3rd and 4th grade girls, not just the other 2nd graders". Here's to looking forward to a fun season.
