Sunday, Funday.

And to think we almost skipped church. A pastor from our church just found out three weeks ago that his wife of 21 years has cancer. His message today was straight from the heart of God. I literally balled my eyes out the entire time he spoke. I'm thankful I didn't have time to put my eye makeup on. I love my church. I love God. I am thankful that Jesus came to Earth and died on a cross for my sins and yours. I am thankful for a God that brings joy in otherwise hopeless situations.

His main message...Happiness is fleeting. It comes and goes so quickly. Joy comes from God. And joy sticks around through really crappy situations.

Jesus first
Others next
Yourself last

For me to think of how close Jonathan and I came to letting our marriage slip away just a few short years ago, brings tears to my eyes. God is so super duper good at fixing things that look completely shattered. If you let him. In AWE would be a slight understatement.

I love my family.

This is how we spent the rest of our day.

The best things in life are free.

Looks like you guys had a fun day! I hope one day I can be half as good of a mom as you are!

P.S. You can probably blame the no make-up on me, as I was at your house till 1 am. :)

Love this post - You have a great family and you are both great parents, with God at the center of your life you will always have the best!

P.S. You are a fabulous photographer and I love your picture taking style - casual, loving and fun (just like you)
