There was a parade going on right when we arrived which was a nice beginning to our day.
Our first ride of the day was the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride. Kelly finally understood what Disney World was all about...RIDES! She was very excited.
*Insert screaming, kicking, tantruming little Kelly here while waiting for the Jungle Cruise ride* We'll just pretend that never happened...moving on.
Disney has fun areas all around the park where kids can play in the water. It is just enough to cool them down and keep them going. Kelly was much happier after she cooled down a bit.
Kelly and I went on Small World three different times. She really got a kick out of that ride. She was singing the song and pointing out all of the different dolls to me.
Next up was the Merry Go Round.
There is an area in Disney called Ariel's Grotto. Ariel the Mermaid sits in there and signs autographs for the kids and right out from where she sits, there is another water area that kids can run around in. Kelly had fun chasing a couple of other little girls and getting mighty wet!
*Insert outfit change; along with another screaming, crying, kicking tantrum.* Continuing on...
We then ventured onto a kids roller coaster called the Barnstormer. This turned out to be Kelly's favorite ride BY FAR. She kept saying "let's go on the 'hole-a coser'. She is still much too small for most real roller coasters so she sure felt like a really big girl going on this one. We went on it three times.
After all of the fun on the Barnstormer, we headed inside to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Kelly made fast friends with an Asian teenage girl right behind us in line. For the entire twenty minutes we stood in line, the two of them communicated with each other quite well without speaking a word of the same language. The girl got a kick out of Kelly and Kelly loved the attention. When we finally got to meet Mickey and Minnie, Kelly whipped out her brand new dress that I had just bought her and showed it to them. Luckily, Mickey and Minnie get paid to make every kid feel really special and they both made a big fuss over Kelly's new dress.
Of course, a trip to Disney World wouldn't be complete without a ride on the race cars in tommorowland. Kelly drove, of course.
*Insert yet another outfit change as now Kelly insisted on wearing her new dress that Mickey and Minnie just fussed over and kissed.* Whatever.
Then, the teacups.
*Insert one more screaming, crying, kicking, biting, no nap tantrum in the middle of a huge line. Terrible two's...nope, never heard of them.*
Kelly in front of Cinderella's castle.
We had a full, long day at the Magic Kingdom. We arrived around 10am and we left right before 9pm. We had our ups and downs during the day but all in all it was really a good time and I am thankful to have that time with Kelly. We rode our shuttle bus back to the hotel and promptly fell fast asleep.

Carrie it sounds like you guys had a blast, and I laughed the while reading the parts with the tantrums. Kelly is so adorable, how nice to spend one on one time with your youngest daughter on a trip that will always be cherished. What a nice mother's day gift!
Fun, fun, fun even despite the meltdowns. She is such a cute little thing and struggles to get the same attention as everyone else so what better way to get it than have a hissy fit. That little one is sharp as a tack! So glad you could have that one on one time with each other.
Love all the clothing changes and what fun you two had. Sounds like you really had a full day with lots of fun, etc. What a memory and I know you will always remember the time with Kelly. I bet you were just as tired as Kelly.
I am EXHAUSTED reading this, but it sounds like you guys had a great time!
