Kelly is now officially a preschooler! I couldn't be more happy! She loves it so far and is doing really well according to her two teachers and I am enjoying time with just Harry (something I have rarely ever had!) Kelly went in with no tears and wanted to know why we had to leave once it was time to go home. I had previously warned the teachers that she can be quite a handful but to my surprise, they both told me that she has been really good.
Side note: Harry had his (overdue) eighteen month checkup the other day. His stats follow...
Weight: 27 pounds, 6 ounces (60th percentile)
Height: 34 1/4 inches (90th percentile)
Head: 19 3/4 inches (97th percentile)
He's healthy and on track. Sort of watching his (lack of) speech. He doesn't say much. He's my little man of few words. But then again, I'm also used to three very verbal little girls who were saying three word sentences by this age. Harry still has never said Mama. {{Sigh}} My doctor assures me that he is just much more physical (as is typical of boys versus girls) and doesn't have a huge need for verbal skills right now. She says that with three older sisters and a mom and dad, he never has to wait long for what he wants. We all just know what he needs and get it/do it for him. He passed his autism screen with flying colors so she is not concerned with that at all. She said if he is still only saying 5-10 words by the time he is two, she might have us consult a speech therapist but assured me that he will be speaking much more in six months. Time will tell. Other than that, he got two regular shots and the seasonal flu shot like a champ. He flirted it up with his doctor and she is in love with him. He has also really taken a new found liking to the park within the last week. He has finally reached the point where he can explore the playground without my constant hovering. And he is loving it. Climbing up and down things that make my heart skip a slight beat. But doing his thing and perfecting his playground "skills". He giggles alot at things that are funny. He shadows Kelly around everyday but he has also started hitting her. Jonathan and I warned Kelly the day would come in which Harry fights back.
Things are going good all in all. It is nice to be back in "the routine" of life. It's hectic at times but I like it that way.

I'm thrilled that Bellers loves pre-school, that you get some time alone with just Harry and that she's been a good girl at school. She's always much better for me (and probably others) than she is for you but I still think that's because she's got so much competition with the other kids vying for your time and attention. That Bellers is special and so so cute!
Aww, congrats Kellers, we love you soooo much! Good job growing big and strong Harold! :)
Cute, cute. cute, what a big girl. We are so happy she loves school, but I was sure she would do wonderful. Harry, my little buddy, what a big boy. Now you can be king of the hill once in a while. See you next week.
Wow, preschool already, what age do they start preschool, anyway? It's good that she loves school. I'm sure it is really nice for Harry to have some one on one time with mama. I've heard the same thing about boys, they usually speak later then girls, and I've also heard that it's true about the youngest kid, they get everything handed to them, or more so they are the baby of the family so all the other kids are doing things for them etc. YOu watch one of these days Harry will go straight to full on sentances and you'll be like, oh my gosh. YOur kids look grea btw!
Nina, here in the states they can start preschool once they are three years old and potty trained. Kelly just turned three at the beginning of August so she just made the cutoff and she has been potty trained for awhile. She loves it!
