6 Random Things

I was tagged by Amanda, who is the best friend of Jonathan's niece Lyndsey. I have only met her a handful of times but stay somewhat connected to what is going on in her life through her blog. I am supposed to come up with 6 random things that people might not know about me. Hmmmmm...lets see what I can come up with.

1. I have one older sister, Lisa, who is seven years older than me. I have one brother, Kyle, who is seven years younger than me. Although I love both of my siblings tremendously, I have always longed for the "tight" sibling bond that I see in other families. The kind where you are so close in age that you grew up together, go through things together and are each others closest confidant. I know that is why I wanted to have our kids all close in age.

2. I have always struggled with my weight. Even when I lost tons of weight after I had Kasey, I still felt fat. It is an issue that I am constantly in prayer about. I wish that I could eat only what my body needs for fuel and be satisfied. And, once I do get to a healthy weight for my height, I hope that I can be satisfied and not still feel fat.

3. I am a neat freak. Everything MUST BE IN ORDER. Believe me, it is something that I am trying to let go of. With four kids, I am not sure it is normal for my house to be in such order. Remember, I said neat freak...not clean freak. My house is not all that clean (as in deep clean.) But it is extremely neat. My refrigerator reeks of the movie Sleeping with the Enemy.

4. I do not worry. Really, I don't. And, I joke that I was blessed without the worry gene. It might be that I am just so busy that I don't have time to worry, but even when my mind is at peace, I rarely find myself worrisome.

5. I strongly dislike religion. I strongly love Jesus Christ. There is a difference.

6. My clothing consists of two colors. Black and Denim. It probably has something to do with #2 and most days it feels so boring. I envy people that can get away with wearing fabulous, colorful clothing.

On a completely unrelated note, please keep Jonathan's 27 year old niece Kari lifted up in prayer. Her husband Tim passed away unexpectedly yesterday. My heart is broken for her.
