Yesterday, with temperatures in the 40's, I took Kasey and Kelly downtown to look at the ice sculptures. By the time we got there, the warm temp had started to take its toll on them. Most of them were broken or crumbling but we did get to see a couple that had kept their shape.
While there, we noticed that there was a ice skating rink set up complete with skate rentals and a warming house. This was perfect as Kasey has been wanting to go ice skating all winter and I just hadn't gotten around to taking her. I rented her some nice hockey skates and off she was with Kelly and I as her fans cheering her on. She took skating lessons two years ago and seemed to remember everything she had learned back then. She was making her way around the rink and what do you know...by the time she finished one lap, she had already made a friend that was patient enough to skate around the rink holding hands with her. It was nice being able to be outside without freezing. Unlike today.

I'm jealous of that weather...It was -25 degrees this morning with a windchill of -46. I think my brain is frozen.
Way to go Kasey - looking good!
